Natural Turquoise & Black Spinel: Turquoise is an opaque blue-to-green mineral, technically a hydrated phosphate of copper and aluminum. It is available in numerous shades of blue and green colors, depending on its origin. The rarest and most beautiful is the robin’s egg blue variety from the now-defunct Sleeping Beauty mine in Arizona. Turquoise is a staple of Native American jewelry and some of it is highly collectible and rare. Some varieties of turquoise, like Kingman Turquoise, display black spiderweb veins (referred to as matrix).
Metaphysical Properties: Turquoise can balance the mood and be thought of as an oasis of calm. It is a highly sacred stone for the Native American community; the Navajo revere it as a stone of good luck and protection that also represents power, status, and luxury.
